SANCTUARY
Roof wasp (Vespula germanica) - an invasive species of insect from the family waspaceous (vespidae). Roof axes nests are usually 20-30 cm in diameter, but there are also much larger ones, reaching 100 c. They are located in old hollows or in the ground, and near human settlements also in openings in walls, roof elements or other convenient building hatches. A sting of a roof wasp is painful, but is not a health hazard for most people, except in the case of allergic individuals.
